Ahmed Deedat
Ahmed Deedat was a South African Islamic scholar and public speaker, known for his work in comparative religion. Born on July 1, 1918, in India, he moved to South Africa in his childhood. Deedat gained prominence for his debates and lectures, particularly focusing on the differences between Islam and Christianity. He founded the Islamic Propagation Centre International in 1957 to promote Islamic teachings.
Deedat authored several books, including "The Choice: Islam and Christianity," which discusses the beliefs of both religions. His engaging style and ability to address complex topics made him a significant figure in interfaith dialogue. He passed away on August 8, 2005.
