Ahmad al-Mansur
Ahmad al-Mansur was the Sultan of the Saadi Dynasty in Morocco from 1578 to 1603. He is best known for his military successes, particularly the victory over the Portuguese at the Battle of Alcácer Quibir in 1578, which solidified his power and expanded Moroccan territory. Al-Mansur also focused on strengthening the economy and promoting trade.
In addition to his military achievements, Ahmad al-Mansur was a patron of the arts and architecture. He commissioned the construction of the El Badi Palace in Marrakech, which showcased the wealth and power of his reign. His leadership marked a significant period in Moroccan history.
