Ahithophel
Ahithophel was a biblical figure known for his role as a counselor to King David. He was renowned for his wisdom and strategic advice, which made him a trusted advisor during David's reign. His insights were highly valued, and he played a significant part in the political landscape of ancient Israel.
However, Ahithophel later sided with Absalom, David's son, during Absalom's rebellion against his father. This betrayal marked a turning point, as his counsel was sought to undermine David. Ultimately, after Absalom's defeat, Ahithophel took his own life, reflecting the tragic consequences of his choices.
