Agenda 2010
Agenda 2010 is a set of reforms introduced in Germany in 2003 under Chancellor Gerhard Schröder. Its primary goal was to improve the country's labor market and social security system, addressing high unemployment and economic stagnation. The reforms included changes to unemployment benefits, the introduction of the Hartz laws, and measures to encourage job creation.
The initiative aimed to make the labor market more flexible and reduce the financial burden on the state. While it successfully lowered unemployment rates in the following years, it also faced criticism for increasing job insecurity and widening income inequality among workers.
