AgCl
AgCl, or silver chloride, is a chemical compound made up of silver and chlorine. It appears as a white, crystalline solid and is known for its low solubility in water. AgCl is often used in photography, as it can darken when exposed to light, making it useful for capturing images.
In addition to its photographic applications, AgCl is also used in various laboratory processes and as a reagent in chemical reactions. It can be formed by the reaction of silver nitrate (AgNO3) with sodium chloride (NaCl), resulting in the precipitation of AgCl as a solid.
