African Fish Eagle
The African Fish Eagle is a large bird of prey found near freshwater lakes and rivers across sub-Saharan Africa. It is easily recognizable by its striking white head and tail, contrasting with its dark brown body. This eagle primarily feeds on fish, using its keen eyesight to spot prey from high in the sky.
With a wingspan of about 2 meters, the African Fish Eagle is an impressive sight in flight. It builds large nests in tall trees, often returning to the same site year after year. The species is known for its distinctive, haunting call, which is often associated with the African wilderness.
