Afghan Whigs
The Afghan Whigs are an American rock band formed in 1986 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Known for their blend of alternative rock, soul, and R&B influences, the band gained popularity in the 1990s. Their music often features dark, introspective lyrics and a distinctive sound characterized by powerful vocals and intricate guitar work.
Led by frontman Greg Dulli, the Afghan Whigs released several critically acclaimed albums, including Gentlemen (1993) and Black Love (1996). The band disbanded in 2001 but reunited in 2012, continuing to tour and release new music, maintaining a dedicated fan base throughout their career.
