Adventure Galley
The Adventure Galley was a ship used by the famous pirate William Kidd in the late 17th century. Built in 1695, it was a sleek, fast vessel designed for both trade and piracy. The ship was equipped with 34 guns and had a crew of around 150 men, allowing it to engage in naval battles and capture enemy ships.
Kidd initially sailed the Adventure Galley under a privateering commission, which allowed him to attack enemy vessels legally. However, as he turned to outright piracy, his actions led to his eventual capture and trial. The ship became a symbol of Kidd's controversial legacy in maritime history.
