Admiral Rodney
Admiral Rodney was a British naval officer born on February 17, 1719, in Barbados. He is best known for his significant role during the American Revolutionary War, particularly for his victory at the Battle of the Saintes in 1782, which helped secure British control over the Caribbean.
Rodney's naval career spanned several decades, and he rose through the ranks due to his strategic skills and leadership. He was appointed as the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Navy in the West Indies and was later made a peer, becoming the 1st Baron Rodney in 1782. He passed away on May 24, 1792.
