Adi Shamir
Adi Shamir is an Israeli cryptographer and one of the co-inventors of the widely used RSA encryption algorithm, which is fundamental for secure online communication. Born on July 6, 1952, he has made significant contributions to the field of computer science, particularly in cryptography and information security.
Shamir has received numerous awards for his work, including the prestigious Turing Award in 2002, which he shared with Ron Rivest and Leonard Adleman. He is also a professor at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, where he continues to research and teach about cryptographic methods and their applications.
