Adi Granth
The Adi Granth is the central religious scripture of Sikhism, compiled in the early 17th century. It contains hymns and writings from the first five Sikh Gurus and other saints, emphasizing devotion to God and the importance of community and equality. The text is written in Gurmukhi script and serves as a guide for spiritual and moral living.
The Adi Granth was first compiled by Guru Arjan, the fifth Guru, in 1604. It is considered the eternal Guru by Sikhs, and its recitation is an essential part of Sikh worship. The scripture is housed in Gurdwaras, where it is treated with great reverence and respect.
