Adhesive Capsulitis
Adhesive Capsulitis, commonly known as frozen shoulder, is a condition characterized by stiffness and pain in the shoulder joint. It occurs when the capsule surrounding the shoulder becomes inflamed and thickened, restricting movement. This condition often develops gradually and can significantly limit daily activities.
The exact cause of adhesive capsulitis is not fully understood, but it is more common in individuals aged 40 to 60 and can be associated with other conditions such as diabetes or thyroid disorders. Treatment typically includes physical therapy, pain management, and in some cases, corticosteroid injections to reduce inflammation.
