Adenoviridae
Adenoviridae is a family of viruses known to cause infections in humans and animals. These viruses are non-enveloped and have a double-stranded DNA genome. They can lead to various illnesses, including respiratory infections, conjunctivitis, and gastroenteritis.
Adenoviruses are commonly spread through respiratory droplets, direct contact, or contaminated surfaces. While most infections are mild and self-limiting, they can be more severe in individuals with weakened immune systems. Vaccines are available for some types of adenoviruses, particularly for military personnel, to help prevent outbreaks.
