Adductor Longus
The Adductor Longus is a muscle located in the inner thigh. It plays a crucial role in the movement of the leg, specifically in bringing the thigh toward the body's midline, a motion known as adduction. This muscle also assists in flexing and rotating the thigh.
Originating from the pubis bone, the Adductor Longus inserts into the femur. It is one of several muscles in the adductor group, which includes the Adductor Brevis and Adductor Magnus. These muscles work together to stabilize the hip joint and support various activities like walking, running, and jumping.
