Academy Award for Best Animated Feature
The Academy Award for Best Animated Feature is an annual award presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to honor excellence in animated films. Established in 2001, it recognizes the artistic and technical achievements of animated storytelling, celebrating both traditional and computer-generated animation.
To be eligible, a film must be at least 40 minutes long and primarily animated. The award is determined by voting members of the Academy, and winners are announced during the annual Academy Awards ceremony, also known as the Oscars.
