Abel and Cain
Abel and Cain are figures from the biblical book of Genesis. They are the sons of Adam and Eve. Abel was a shepherd, while Cain was a farmer. Both brothers made offerings to God, but God favored Abel's offering over Cain's. This led to feelings of jealousy and anger in Cain.
In a fit of rage, Cain killed Abel, committing the first murder in the Bible. As a consequence, God punished Cain by making him a wanderer on the earth. The story of Abel and Cain explores themes of jealousy, sin, and the consequences of one's actions.
