Abbas II
Abbas II, also known as Abbas II of Egypt, was the last Khedive of Egypt and Sudan, ruling from 1892 to 1914. He was born on July 14, 1874, and was a member of the Muhammad Ali Dynasty. His reign was marked by increasing British control over Egypt, which limited his authority and led to political tensions.
During his rule, Abbas II attempted to modernize Egypt but faced challenges due to foreign intervention. He was eventually deposed by the British in 1914, leading to the establishment of a protectorate over Egypt. Abbas II died in exile on December 19, 1944.
