Abbé
An "Abbé" is a title used in the Roman Catholic Church to refer to a clergyman who is the head of an abbey, which is a monastery for monks. The term is derived from the Latin word "abbas," meaning "father." Abbés often oversee the spiritual and administrative duties of the abbey and may also be involved in the local community.
In addition to their leadership role, abbés may also be responsible for conducting religious services, providing guidance to the monks, and managing the abbey's resources. The title can also be used as a form of address for certain priests, especially in France, where it is commonly associated with the clergy.
