ATAR
The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is a numerical measure used in Australia to assess a student's academic performance in their final years of secondary education. It ranges from 0 to 99.95 and is calculated based on a student's results in their Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent qualifications. The ATAR helps universities determine eligibility for admission into various courses.
The ATAR is not a score that students can "pass" or "fail." Instead, it ranks students relative to their peers, indicating their position among all students completing their secondary education. A higher ATAR generally increases the chances of gaining entry into competitive university programs.
