ATACMS
The Army Tactical Missile System, or ATACMS, is a surface-to-surface missile system developed by the United States. It is designed to provide long-range precision strike capabilities against high-value targets, such as enemy command centers and missile launch sites. The missile can be launched from various platforms, including the M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System and the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System.
ATACMS has a range of approximately 300 kilometers (about 186 miles) and can carry different types of warheads, including unitary and cluster munitions. It plays a crucial role in modern warfare by enabling rapid response and enhancing the effectiveness of ground forces in combat situations.
