AM Broadcasting
AM Broadcasting stands for Amplitude Modulation Broadcasting, a method used to transmit audio signals over radio waves. In this technique, the amplitude, or strength, of the radio wave is varied in accordance with the sound signal being sent, allowing for the transmission of music, news, and other audio content.
AM radio operates in the medium frequency (MF) band, typically between 530 and 1700 kHz. It is known for its long-range capabilities, making it suitable for reaching rural areas. However, AM signals can be more susceptible to interference from electrical equipment and atmospheric conditions compared to FM Broadcasting.
