AIG
AIG, or American International Group, is a multinational insurance and financial services corporation based in the United States. Founded in 1919, AIG provides a wide range of insurance products, including property, casualty, and life insurance, as well as retirement solutions and other financial services. The company operates in more than 80 countries and has a significant presence in both commercial and personal insurance markets.
In 2008, AIG faced a severe financial crisis during the global economic downturn, leading to a government bailout to prevent its collapse. Since then, AIG has restructured its operations and focused on improving its financial stability, aiming to regain its position as a leading player in the insurance industry.
