9/11 Commission
The 9/11 Commission, officially known as the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, was established in 2002 to investigate the events surrounding the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Its primary goal was to provide a comprehensive account of the attacks, examining how they occurred and identifying failures in U.S. government agencies.
The Commission conducted extensive interviews and gathered evidence, ultimately producing a detailed report in 2004. This report outlined the timeline of the attacks, the role of al-Qaeda, and recommendations for improving national security and preventing future terrorist threats.
