4th Armored Division
The 4th Armored Division was a unit of the United States Army during World War II. Activated in 1941, it played a significant role in the European Theater, participating in major campaigns such as the Battle of the Bulge and the liberation of France. The division was known for its fast-moving armored units and effective combined arms tactics.
The division was equipped with various tanks, including the M4 Sherman, and supported by infantry and artillery units. After the war, the 4th Armored Division was deactivated in 1945 but was later reactivated during the Cold War, serving in various capacities until its final deactivation in 1992.
