44th President
The 44th President of the United States was Barack Obama, who served from January 20, 2009, to January 20, 2017. He was the first African American to hold the office and was a member of the Democratic Party. Before his presidency, Obama was a U.S. Senator from Illinois and gained national recognition for his keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention.
