3DO Company
The 3DO Company was an American video game company founded in 1993 by Trip Hawkins, a former executive at Electronic Arts. It is best known for creating the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer, a video game console that aimed to provide high-quality graphics and multimedia capabilities. Despite its innovative approach, the console struggled in the market due to high pricing and competition.
In addition to hardware, the 3DO Company developed and published several video games across various platforms. Some notable titles include Gex and Army Men. However, the company faced financial difficulties and eventually filed for bankruptcy in 2003, marking the end of its operations.
