추기경
추기경, or "Cardinal" in English, is a high-ranking official in the Roman Catholic Church. They are appointed by the Pope and serve as advisors, helping to govern the Church and make important decisions regarding its direction and policies. Cardinals often oversee specific regions or responsibilities within the Church.
In addition to their advisory role, cardinals are also responsible for electing a new pope when the position becomes vacant. This process takes place during a special assembly called a conclave. Cardinals wear distinctive red robes, symbolizing their commitment to the Church and their willingness to sacrifice for their faith.
