의대
의대, or medical school, is an educational institution that trains students to become doctors. In South Korea, students typically enter 의대 after completing high school, and the program usually lasts six years. The curriculum includes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, covering subjects like anatomy, pharmacology, and clinical practice.
After graduating from 의대, students must pass the national medical licensing exam to practice medicine. Many graduates choose to specialize further by entering a residency program in various fields, such as 내과 (internal medicine) or 외과 (surgery), to gain advanced training and expertise.
