원폭 돔
The 원폭 돔, or Atomic Bomb Dome, is a historic building located in 히로시마, 일본. It was originally constructed in 1915 as the 히로시마 산업 회관 and became a symbol of the city's resilience after the atomic bombing on August 6, 1945. The structure was one of the few buildings left standing near the epicenter of the explosion.
Today, the 원폭 돔 is part of the 히로시마 평화 기념 공원 and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It serves as a reminder of the devastating effects of nuclear warfare and promotes peace and anti-nuclear sentiments worldwide.
