아우슈비츠 I
"아우슈비츠 I" is the original concentration camp established by the Nazi regime in 1940, located in Poland. Initially designed to detain political prisoners, it later became a central site for the imprisonment and extermination of Jews and other targeted groups during the Holocaust.
The camp was expanded over the years, incorporating additional facilities like Auschwitz II-Birkenau and Auschwitz III-Monowitz. It is now a memorial and museum, serving to educate visitors about the atrocities committed there and to honor the memory of the millions who suffered and died.
