아슈라 (Fasting)
아슈라 (Fasting) is an important observance in the Islamic tradition, particularly for the followers of Islam. It occurs on the 10th day of the month of Muharram in the Islamic lunar calendar. Many Muslims fast on this day to commemorate the day when the Prophet Moses and the Israelites were saved from Pharaoh's tyranny.
In addition to its historical significance, fasting on Ashura is also seen as a way to seek forgiveness and reflect on one's actions. Some Muslims choose to fast on the 9th and 10th days of Muharram to distinguish their observance from that of the Jews.
