시기리야
시기리야, or Sigiriya, is an ancient rock fortress located in Sri Lanka. It is renowned for its stunning frescoes, water gardens, and impressive architecture. The site dates back to the 5th century AD and was built by King Kasyapa as a royal citadel.
The fortress rises nearly 200 meters above the surrounding plains and features a large flat-topped rock. Visitors can explore the ruins of the royal palace, as well as the famous Lion's Gate, which leads to the summit. Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts tourists from around the world.
