보살
"보살" (Bodhisattva) is a key concept in Buddhism, referring to an enlightened being who seeks to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings. Unlike a Buddha, who has achieved complete enlightenment, a 보살 chooses to remain in the cycle of birth and death to help others on their spiritual journeys.
In Mahayana Buddhism, 보살 embodies compassion and altruism, often taking vows to assist others in overcoming suffering. They are revered figures, and many practitioners aspire to cultivate the qualities of a 보살, such as kindness, wisdom, and selflessness, in their own lives.
