观音
观音, also known as Guanyin, is a bodhisattva in East Asian Buddhism, revered as the embodiment of compassion and mercy. Often depicted as a female figure, she is known for her ability to hear the cries of suffering beings and provide assistance. Guanyin is associated with the Lotus Sutra and is considered a protector of those in distress.
In Chinese culture, Guanyin is commonly worshipped in temples and homes, where people seek her blessings for health, prosperity, and peace. Statues of Guanyin can be found in various forms, often holding a vase or a willow branch, symbolizing her role in healing and nurturing.
