能楽
能楽, or Noh, is a traditional form of Japanese theater that combines drama, music, and dance. It originated in the 14th century and is characterized by its slow, stylized movements and the use of masks. Performances often depict themes from Japanese literature, history, and mythology, conveying deep emotions and philosophical ideas.
The performances are typically held on a simple stage, with minimal props, allowing the actors to focus on their expressions and movements. Noh is often accompanied by traditional instruments, such as the nohkan (a bamboo flute) and taiko (drums), creating a unique auditory experience that enhances the storytelling.
