王貞治 (Oh Sadaharu) is a retired Japanese professional baseball player, widely regarded as one of the greatest hitters in the history of the sport. Born on May 20, 1940, he played for the 読売ジャイアンツ (Yomiuri Giants) from 1959 to 1980. During his career, he set numerous records, including the all-time home run record in Japan with 868 home runs. After retiring, 王貞治 transitioned into coaching and management, contributing to the development of baseball in Japan.
