曼島語
曼島語, or Manx, is a Celtic language native to the Isle of Man. It belongs to the Gaelic branch of the Celtic languages, which also includes Irish and Scottish Gaelic. Although it experienced a decline in the 20th century, efforts have been made to revive it, and it is now taught in schools and used in some media.
The language has a rich history, with roots tracing back to the early medieval period. Manx was once the primary language of the island's inhabitants, but English became dominant over time. Today, Manx is recognized as a vital part of the island's cultural heritage.
