夏休み
「夏休み」(natsuyasumi) is the Japanese term for summer vacation, typically lasting from late July to the end of August. During this time, students have a break from school, allowing them to relax and enjoy various activities. Many families take trips, participate in festivals, or engage in outdoor sports.
In Japan, summer vacation is also a time for students to complete their homework, which often includes reading assignments and projects. Traditional events like 花火 (hanabi, fireworks) displays and 盆踊り (bon odori, a summer dance festival) are popular, providing cultural experiences and community engagement.
