唐朝 (Táng cháo)
The 唐朝 (Táng cháo), or Tang Dynasty, was a significant period in Chinese history that lasted from 618 to 907 AD. It is known for its cultural, political, and economic prosperity. The dynasty expanded its territory and influence, establishing the capital at 长安 (Cháng'ān), which became a major cultural and trade center along the 丝绸之路 (Sīchóu zhī lù) or Silk Road.
The Tang Dynasty is often regarded as a golden age of Chinese civilization, marked by advancements in art, literature, and technology. Notable figures from this era include the poet 李白 (Lǐ Bái) and the painter 吴道子 (Wú Dàozǐ). The dynasty's decline began in the late 9th century, leading to its eventual fall and the fragmentation of China.
