南传佛教
南传佛教, also known as Theravada Buddhism, is one of the oldest forms of Buddhism, primarily practiced in countries like Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia. It emphasizes the teachings of the historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, and focuses on individual enlightenment through meditation, ethical conduct, and wisdom.
This tradition values the Pali Canon as its primary scripture, which contains the original teachings of the Buddha. Monastic life is highly regarded, and laypeople support monks through almsgiving. 南传佛教 encourages followers to cultivate mindfulness and compassion, aiming for the ultimate goal of Nirvana, the liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
