千羽鶴
"千羽鶴" (Senbazuru) refers to the Japanese tradition of folding one thousand origami cranes. It is believed that anyone who completes this task will be granted a wish, such as good health or peace. The cranes are often strung together and displayed as a symbol of hope and healing.
This practice gained international recognition through the story of Sadako Sasaki, a young girl who folded cranes while battling leukemia caused by the Hiroshima atomic bombing. Today, Senbazuru is associated with peace and is often used in memorials and ceremonies to honor victims of war and promote global harmony.
