شیوا (Shiva)
شیوا (Shiva) is one of the principal deities in Hinduism, known as the "Destroyer" within the Trimurti, which also includes Brahma the "Creator" and Vishnu the "Preserver." He is often depicted with a third eye, symbolizing wisdom and insight, and is associated with meditation, yoga, and asceticism. Shiva embodies both destructive and regenerative aspects, representing the cycle of creation and dissolution.
Shiva is commonly worshipped in the form of a lingam, a symbol that represents his divine energy. He is also known for his consort, Parvati, and their children, Ganesha and Kartikeya. Festivals like Maha Shivaratri celebrate his significance, highlighting his role in the spiritual and cosmic order.
