سالوادور آلنده
سالوادور آلنده (Salvador Allende) was a Chilean physician and politician who served as the President of Chile from 1970 until 1973. He was the first Marxist to be elected president in a country with a liberal democracy. His government focused on social reforms, including nationalizing key industries and implementing policies aimed at reducing poverty and inequality.
Allende's presidency faced significant opposition, both domestically and internationally. On September 11, 1973, his government was overthrown in a military coup led by General Augusto Pinochet. Following the coup, Allende died during the attack on the presidential palace, marking a significant turning point in Chilean history.
