حديث
حديث (Hadith) refers to the recorded sayings, actions, and approvals of the Prophet Muhammad. These accounts serve as a significant source of guidance for Muslims, complementing the Quran in matters of faith, law, and ethics. Hadiths are classified into various categories based on their authenticity, with the most reliable being termed Sahih.
The collection and study of Hadith began shortly after the death of Muhammad, leading to the compilation of several important collections, such as Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Scholars evaluate Hadiths based on their chain of narrators and content, ensuring that teachings attributed to the Prophet are accurate and trustworthy.
