تولسی داس (Tulsidas) was a prominent 16th-century Indian poet and saint, best known for his epic poem, the रामचरितमानस (Ramcharitmanas). This work retells the story of राम (Rama) and is revered in Hindu literature. Tulsidas emphasized devotion to राम and played a significant role in popularizing the worship of राम among the masses.
Born in a small village in present-day उत्तर प्रदेश (Uttar Pradesh), Tulsidas was deeply influenced by his spiritual experiences.
