Коясан
Коясан, or Koyasan, is a sacred mountain located in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. It is the center of Shingon Buddhism, founded by the monk Kōbō Daishi in the 9th century. The area is home to over 100 temples, many of which offer lodging for visitors seeking spiritual experiences.
The most famous site in Kоясан is the Okunoin Cemetery, where Kōbō Daishi is believed to be resting. This serene place features thousands of tombstones and is surrounded by ancient cedar trees.
