Золотой Орды
The Золотая Орда, or Golden Horde, was a Mongol khanate that emerged in the 13th century after the Mongol Empire's fragmentation. It was founded by Батый, the grandson of Чингисхан, and controlled vast territories in present-day Russia, Kazakhstan, and parts of Eastern Europe. The Golden Horde played a significant role in the political and economic landscape of the region, influencing trade routes and local governance.
At its height, the Golden Horde was a powerful entity, known for its military strength and administrative organization. It facilitated cultural exchanges between the East and West, contributing to the spread of Ислам and the development of русская культура. The khanate began to decline in the 15th century, eventually leading to its fragmentation into smaller states.
