Бодхи (Awakening)
Бодхи (Awakening) is a key concept in Buddhism, representing the moment of enlightenment when an individual gains profound insight into the nature of reality. This state is characterized by the realization of the Four Noble Truths, which outline the nature of suffering and the path to liberation. Achieving Бодхи leads to the cessation of suffering and the cycle of rebirth.
The term is often associated with the historical figure Сиддхартха Гаутама, known as Будда, who attained Бодхи while meditating under the бодхи-дерево (Bodhi tree) in Бодх Гая, India. This experience transformed him into the Buddha, a teacher who shared his insights to help others achieve the same awakening.
