Ρα
Ρα is the ancient Egyptian god of the sun, often considered one of the most important deities in Egyptian mythology. He is typically depicted with a falcon head and a sun disk above it, symbolizing his role as the giver of light and life. Ρα was believed to travel across the sky in a solar boat during the day and journey through the underworld at night, representing the cycle of day and night.
Worship of Ρα was widespread in ancient Egypt, and he was often associated with other gods, such as Ατούμ and Όσιρις. Temples dedicated to Ρα, like the one at Ηλιούπολη, were significant religious centers. His influence extended beyond religion, impacting art, culture, and the daily lives of the ancient Egyptians.
