Νέα Ελληνικά
Νέα Ελληνικά, or Modern Greek, is the standard form of the Greek language spoken today. It evolved from Κοινή Ελληνική, the common Greek used during the Byzantine period, and has undergone significant changes in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
The language is the official language of Greece and Cyprus, and it is used in education, media, and government. Modern Greek has a rich literary tradition, with notable authors such as Nikos Kazantzakis and Giorgos Seferis, contributing to its cultural heritage.
